Stuck on Google account verification
I recently bought a device from a friend of a friend. Not knowing that newer phones now have the FRP lock on them, unfortunately, they factory reset it before deleting their Google account or letting me sync mine, now I'm with no phone because the previous owner does not remember their credentials... Please help!

These days it's like saying you don't know your own name. His gmail account is the login. If he can't erase the device from his google account, then maybe it wasn't his phone to sell. Get your money back if he can't erase it.

older and has trouble remembering... Especially things like a Google
account and password... Who knows who helped him set up his account and if
they wrote anything down for him or not...

ATT can't help. Just like iCloud lock, if the phone was google locked, no one can help. It's a paper weight.
