Stolen phone found and can't use.

I recently had my galaxy s8 active stolen from my truck. Well about a week or so ago someone contacted me via messenger and asked if ihad a phone that had been lost or stolen. Yes, I said. I got the phone back and gave it to s relative since they toldme at att that uhad already paid the insurance amount for that phone it was mine. My question, can you unlock it where the person using it is able to mandie calls and use it like a normal phone?  Thank you so much!

Re: Stolen phone found and can't use.

Hi, @Jerod205,

We're glad to hear you recovered your stolen phone! Part of the terms of agreement with Asurion, the company that handles insurance on AT&T devices, states that if they replace a device for you and you recover it after, then the device needs to be returned to them. If you have any further questions on the status of the stolen device, please contact Asurion.

We hope you have a great week!
