Slow Dialing results in "Call cannot be completed as dialed" AT&T Wireless Home Phone

I just signed up for Wireless Home Phone service and have had it a week.  The phenomenon is that if a number is dialed too slowly I receive the message "the number cannot be completed as dialed". If the number is dialed quickly all calls go through.  It is like there is a 10 second or so timeout. If I have to look down to read the rest of a number before I enter it the call might fail. I have used two different phones plugged into the wireless home phone device and both suffer the same issue.  One phone is a Uniden with an answering machine and the second phone I tried is a wall phone I used with AT&T landline as well as Comcast for years with no issues so it's not the phones..  Has anyone run across anything like this??   AT&T tech support told me they hadn't heard of it.  Again, if I key the numbers fairly quickly all calls go through.

Hi @oldpuck,

I hope the home phone service has been great aside from this! I’m glad you reached out to us in the Community Forums for assistance. I’d be happy to take a look into this.

I haven’t heard of anything like this before with Wireless Home Phone service. How long has this been going on for? I would be more than happy to investigate this deeper, however, I only have troubleshooting and support information with devices we offer. I recommend reviewing the user manual for dialing configuration or contacting the manufacturer to see if they can provide more assistance.

Please keep in touch!

Thanks for your reply. I read the Uniden manual and saw that you can dial the number BEFORE you pick up the handset. That queues up the number and then fast dials when the handset is picked up.  Problem is solved. However... Both phones were used in previous landline service without issue. Not worried about it any more. 😜 Thanks again.
