Samsung Eternity--USB/Charging port

Is the charging/USB port on the Eternityy the same one as the one on the Sync (SGH-A707)? I am asking this because I was wondering if I would be ablew to use my old usb cable from my Sync with the Eternity if I buy it. Thanks in advance for your help!
