Phone not working correctly with new sim card

Phone not working correctly with new sim card

Took over a relatives Windows phone (Nokia 635). Discovered that the data transfer utility app would not install from the app store. I tried installing other apps, same result. Sought help from Att who sent me a new sim card. Installed the card, but had the same result when I tried to install an app from the app store. I also discovered that several other app won't work even though they are installed. These include Cortana and Twitter. Any suggestion. Att hasn't been able to help.

Hi, @Dansan,

We'd love to help with this. There are two things you can try. First, check to make sure your Nokia doesn't need a software update and, if it does, update it. You can find the steps to update your device here.

Doublecheck the apps that are installed that you're having issues with do not need to be updated through the app store. If so, please update those as well. let us know if this helps.

Re: Phone not working correctly with new sim card

@Dansan Which version of Windows is on the phone? Is it Windows Phone 8 or Windows 10 mobile? For Windows 8 many apps no longer work. You'll have to try and use the Web Browser. Cortana I believe should work, perhaps you need to reset:

Windows 10 Mobile, ou can use the same method that Windows 10 uses which is the PWA website. Simple open Twitter in your Brower.
