Pantech Matrix contact/groups question

I just got a red Pantech Matrix today, I'm trying to add contacts to a group so I can have different ringtones for certain people.  I CANNOT figure this out...I read the manual, it's vague..doesn't really help, if anyone can help me out...It'd be greatly appreciated.
