Pantech Breeze Communication Issue

My wife's Pantech Breeze.  I foolishly clicked on an "Update" link.  It won't update, but it tries every 8 hours to "Communicate."  These trials last for a period of time, during which the phone cannot be used to make calls.  AT&T sent me a program they thought would take care of it, but it only runs on a PC and I've got a Mac.  The second time I called AT&T they said there was nothing they could do about it because it's my phone, my problem.  If anyone has a cure for this my wife would greatly apprecaite it.

Hey @wepoccnr,

Thank you for reaching the AT&T Community Forums! I can help you with this device issue!

Does the device have an active data connection? It’s possible you may have sent a System Update to download. If the system keeps trying to check and gets failures it may be because the device is trying to verify if there’s an update available.

There are a couple of steps you can try and take to correct this. The PC Suite is one, I understand that you have a Mac but this computer application will allow you download the software update and apply it manually.

Another alternative is activating a data plan on the device, if you do not have one, to allow the update to complete. If you do not want to complete this step, you can perform a faqctory reset of the device. This will restore the device to before the update was initiated. You can find step-by-step instructions on how to complete this factory reset from our Device Support page. You may need to change your device in the upper left corner.

Hopefully this helps and let us know how it goes!
