I bought a nexus 6 that was already unlocked and my child was messing around with it and somehow it got locked again. I tried using the device unlock but I was denied for some reason and have no idea why. Is there any way I can get my phone unlocked again?

Hello @Weygre,
We can definitely assist you with submitting another unlock request for your wireless device. First, you'll need to make sure that your device meets all of our Unlock eligibility requirements. Once you've confirmed that your cell phone is eligible for use on another wireless network, you can submit another unlock request with our Device unlock portal. If all of the unlock eligibility requirements are met, your cell phone will be approved for unlock within two business days. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Carrier unlocked phones can’t become locked again. The phone would have been locked all along. What makes you think it was unlocked when you bought it?
Why do you think it’s locked now?

Hi @Weygre,
Thank you for getting back to us with this information!
If your device is prompting for you to enter a pin to unlock your SIM card, you would need the PUK code and not the device unlock code. You can find the steps needed to be taken in our PUK Code Support Article.
Let us know if this helps!

The puk code actually wasn't the solution, my unlock request through the portal was approved and I got a code for the sim unlock and I'm currently typing this out on my nexus 6.

So the phone was not unlocked when you bought it...
