Hey @pedro.dardis,

No problem on the response! And I'm sorry again for all the frustrations!

Looks like this update just came out after posting my response. How's that for instant gratification? Smiley Very Happy

To anyone else viewing this.... Nokia Lumia 640 Windows 10 update confirmed!

Stand-by for official post.

Hi Team,

Any idea when will we be receiving Windows 10 update notification. The Upgrade Advisor App do shows Lumia 640 is eligible and on colaboration with carrier will send the notification. As the Windows 10 roll out is offical when will I receive the notification ? Please give any idea how to receive it... fed up waiting for Windows 10 and finally it is out.. but I am unable to do it.

Thanks

At&t has seriously been a let down lately. I've been a happy customer for years but I'm starting to explore other options. This month alone they've raised my plan cost, changed my plan without my consent (resulting in hours wasted at the store because they thought that I was trying to scam them? Really?), getting rid of contract discounts on phones, and now not letting me update my phone to windows 10 after its been publically released? Eeeeerg. But don't worry no one over there will read this so you can safely change carriers before they even realize that windows 10 has even been released.

The question then is this... is T-Mobile rolling it out yet? Before the sky starts falling lets see who get it out first. Maybe T-Mobile already has, I've not see.

That's an option for the 640. I suggest before making the jump to T-Mobile you go buy a SIM with some minutes on it, buy a week or a month of their data and test the service out. The month deal will cost you $50 but it'll let you know if T-Mobile can work for you. Forget what commericals etc tell you. Test it out yourself. I did test it and I was disappinted in the results.

If they give you even the month it might happen, I'll be SURPRISED. That's just not their thing...

No answer at all from ATT.

One would think that ATT would at least answer a simple question such as this.

Microsoft has commmitted to providing the Windows 10 upgrade to the Lumia 640 LTE/XL, but has deferred to the carrier for implementation.

Hello out there ATT. We're all still in the dark. How about an update for if it's even going to happen or not? I assume it will since the upgradability to W10M was advertised when I purchased the phone but the silence is deafening.

It's just a wait and see game.

i got tired of waiting for my wifes 640XL to recieve the upgrade so we went to our local AT&T store Plymouth Ma & picked up a 950 for her, now she's on 10, that was better than waiting for the update.

She loves her new 950, we just had to pay $150 to have them take her 640XL and get her 950.

i already have a 950 and love it.

i also have the continuum display dock and thats awesome too.

so just sit back relax and wait or go join the insider program and take the Insider release preview thats just like having the official release, people on that see a build right before it goes live to all devices, thats your best bet if your that anxious for Win 10, then there's no worry's your phone can enjoy it. then when att releases 10 you can grab the official release.

You're probably right. I've been running a Lumia 635 backup phone on W10M for a couple of months using the Windows Insider program with no problem and I like some of the different features like the new setting layout. I just wish ATT would go ahead and push the official version. I'll give them a few more day and get the Insider version if it doesn't get released soon.

It's pretty sad how AT&T drags their feed and provides absolutely no information to the customer.
