Excited to see AT&T FINALLY pushing out the Windows Mobile 10 upgrade (at least to 640's), unfortunately this does NOT include Lumina 640XL (check the SKU's). Guess what I've got...640XL...still waiting...

Let win 10 mobile update lumia 640. Was a mess. Could not syn with att address book, all contacts in people app gone and outlook could not syn with att email account. Had to reset to 8,1 after Microsoft wasted 2 hr trying ot fix win 10. Lousy is kind word.

You might want to go re-check the Windows 10 640 boilerplate release messsage in this forum then, it's got the Desktop PC release info, instead of the Mobile release info (see where you reference Windows Defender, for example).
I'm not sure it matters that much to most folks, unless they go and check for the "features". In most cases, there's overlap between Desktop/Mobile, but not entirely, and this message clearly quotes from the Desktop 107 release.

I'm not so sure on this one. The Windows phones (like many manufacturers) have different models for each carrier/firmware mapping.
I think the AT&T one was RM-1063, and the global unbranded one was RM-1065/RM-1096 (single/dual SIM), whereas the T-Mobile version had a different model too, with B17 support. I think this was RM-1064, but I'm not 100% on that part.
So the question is, what kind of filter is AT&T applying to its OTA updates?

@pgrey Could be filtered on the model number but also could be the IMEI. But in the end, my understaning is that AT&T phones even if they are unlocked and on another carrier, the update will come from AT&T. I have no first hand experience with this.

Just ran the upgrade advisor on my 640XL and got the same message I've gotten for months. My phone is eligible and I'll see a notification when the upgrade is ready.
I bought the phone more than a year ago, at an AT&T store, with the promise is would soon upgrade to Windows 10. Most frustrating.

And I stand corrected...
I did not read the link... https://forums.att.com/t5/Windows-Phone/Device-Software-Update-Microsoft-Lumia-640/m-p/4833011
FWIW: I am running 14361 (via Insider Program) now with no major issues. on 2 x 950's and a 640XL.

I'm in Argentina but my download stops at 90% and breaks. My is Lumia 640 Rm 1073, upgrade advisor says it's ready, but like I said it breaks at 90%
Do you know why?
