Looks like the IMEI number you entered doesn’t match an AT&T device

the website is saying "Looks like the IMEI number you entered doesn’t match an AT&T device" whenever I enter the imei of my iphone 8 into the device unlock page. The imei is definitely correct and its definitely an Att device. It accepts att sim cards without a problem but i want to get it unlocked.

Hi @jackmejiarhyme!

We can help you get your device unlocked!

Have you already checked to see if the device meets all the requirements to be unlocked? You can find out if your device is eligible here.

Let us know what you find so we can further assist if we need to!

@ATTHelp @ATTMobilityCare hello, could i get help on the same subject too?

mine has the same error online, and when i called for support, they said it also was not an ATT device

i had also checked using sim cards on all of the phones and they all worked

could you unlock or at least add the IMEIs for these phones to the system?

Here are the requirements:

  • Your device isn’t reported as lost, stolen, or involved with fraud.
  • You don’t have a past-due balance.
  • Your device isn’t active on another AT&T account.
  • Have a business account with a 2-year contract? Wait 30 days to unlock any devices that you upgrade early.
  • An AT&T PREPAIDSM device has been active for at least 6 months.
  • You have your company’s permission if you want to unlock your business-owned device.

Is your device on an installment plan or term agreement? Make sure you meet these requirements, too:

  • Your device has had active service for at least 60 days.
  • You pay off your installment plan.
    • If you pay it off on your monthly bill: Submit your unlock request at the start of your next statement bill period.
    • If you pay it off early: Submit your unlock request 24 hours after your payment.
  • You complete your contract or term agreement.

It's not spam. You didn't check the unlock requirements. I ran the IMEI through the unlock portal and it says the phone hasn't been used on AT&T for 60 days. It's not eligible for unlock.

I understand that you were trying to help but support was already on it. when I started the serial number wasn't recognized by the unlock portal at all. The good news they already added the imei and updated it and the unlock was approved. Thank you AttCares
