Cricket phones are locked to Cricket and must be unlocked to work on AT&T. Although Cricket is owned by AT&T, the phone must still be unlocked to use. Contact Cricket for unlock.

I,m not talking about my cricket phone I m talking about my at&t phone prepaid and i didn't know that at&t owns cricket well I, ve learned something new thank you

So if I am currently using AT&T and have an iPhone that is paid for and I want to change to Cricket, I still must have my iPhone unlocked before making the switch, correct? Once I have the phone unlocked, will it still function on AT&T's network until I cancel my service? Thanks!
