Hurricane Maria
Is there a timeline for service to Puerto Rico? No communication to verify if family and friends are OK.

@Manati,
AT&T has set up a website that will let anyone stateside (regardless of carrier) to register the cell phone number of a family member or friend who is an AT&T wireless customer in Puerto Rico.
When the Puerto Rico-based customer’s cell phone connects to our network in Puerto Rico, the customer will be notified that their family or friends in the U.S. have been trying to contact them.
The family member or friend who registered will also be notified through email when additional service in Puerto Rico has been restored.
Additional information can be found on: http://about.att.com/inside_connections_blog/hurricane_maria.
Hope this helps,

@Manati
if what the news is saying is true it could be months before things are restored... Power has to get restored before anything else can work.

The island is in bad shape. They are currently evacuating an area on the west end due to a potential dam collapse. The news may offer more insight.

then leaves the island with no communications after Hurricane Maria? Puerto Rico is in hurricane alley...it is not like this is news. And do not blame the electrical grid. Its called a generator and you can afford it. Even hotels have generators. Shame on AT&T for failing Puerto Rico.

Imagine after all that loss there is no way that a multi billion company will give a rat butt the loss of life, and importance of communications with love ones in time of emergency--- too bad that down range deployed in other countries they have service but they can repair their service in over 5 days past a down tower etc. or have the ability to bring back their product(service).
What we can learn from this is that even do they are making way more than any other company in the world serving a juicy contract with our armed forces in case of any emergency you are on your own ---
At&t's leaders are enjoying a juicy salary hiding behind presentations and statistics but they don't care about their customers.
And that is a fact..,

At&t service is down -- it is been 6 days and no progress. Definitely will be a lot of customers changing to other carriers because there is no sense of urgency with At&t to fix a problem but they jump hoops to charge you for anything extra ----
At&t have proved that is just business-- all money and profits---

Get ATT cell towers working first, essential services like power to hospitals, fire and police later - Don’t think so. If data lines and power to cell towers are down their have to be replaced,
