Hi, i want to disable wifi from my htc 8525 completely because my parents think im gonna look at porn. lol. Is there away? I just want in gone so i can have it back because they dont trust me. Like, put a password on it so i can use it again with no access to it. Just erase it from the phone.

Yes, changing their family router password/security key may keep the OP from accessing the internet at home, but it won't keep them from using the thousands of free access points that are available once away from home.  Sorry to say, the only "solution" in this case is one that's not easy to come by:  Trust

Short of completely removing the wifi circuitry from the device, I am not aware of a way to completely disable wifi.

You could easily turn it off via COMM Mgr, but then you could just as easily turn it back on.

Maybe if your parents do not trust you, they should either get you a basic phone with no features or probably the ultimate solution, just lock you in your room until  you are 75.

agreed...

here's a solution for around the house... what about them changing the password on the wireless router, and just not telling you what it is?

Just insert a paper clip into various holes on the device and jiggle vigorously!
