I have a well-cared for HTC One for over a year and loved it, but it stopped charging when the phone is on and will not connect to my laptop via USB. I've found all types of miracle cures that don't work. Should I scrap it? I will not be getting another one if this one craps out this soon. I still have 2 Motorola V3's active on my account, so you know how we take care of our phones.

You said you had this phone for over a year, so it sounds like it's out of warranty, but I'd still contact the manufacturer and see if they have any advice. Your other option might be a local cell phone repair shop, it could be an easy fix, but you'll need to show it to the specialist to know for sure.

Had it 11 months, it was refurbished. Filed two service tickets with HTC and never got a response. Had a new $4 charger put in it for $75 and it works like new. May be time to sell it.
