GL300 gps tracker APN settings

Is there a way to program APN on the device?   Generally you need a sim provisioned for it.  

I assume you got a sim for a data only device, not phone sim, which won’t work.

I am utilising a go phone sim that has come out of an iPad not a traditional phone sim card

the serial number on the sim show's it's app and data capable (has 27) in 9th and 10th digit 

That won’t work, even with APN.  The data plan on iPads and other data only devices are different.  I have an iPad and android tablet and the SIM cards are not interchangeable as with phones.  

You can try it, but I strongly suspect you need a new SIM card.

I want to set the apn for a tracker device TK202B which has an At&t sim card in it. What is the format using my android to set the tracker up. it communicates via text messages.  AT&T says to use the NXTGENOHONE name and APN, not the wap.cingular format, from my android phone. how is it typed in?
