Can not check the phone unlock status errorCode.USP2001

Yesterday I have submitted an unlock request via the unlock request form. Later, I received an E-mail to ask for my confirmation, and I have confirmed it by clicking on url.

I have tried to check the status yesterday and today and til now, all unsuccessful.

The Check Your Unlock Status page (https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/status.html#/) keeps showing me the following error:
"Error: An unlock request does not exist for the combination of IMEI and request number entered. Check your entries. (errorCode.USP2001)"

Could you please let me know if I need to submit request once again.

Please help. Thanks

I found out that request status must be checked on the following link

https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/request/#/status

and not the  https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/status.html#/

It is really confusing, Device unlock support site provides the second link for some reasons 🙂

Hi there @Levanjanashia

Thank you for reaching out to the AT&T Community Forums!

I know how important getting your device unlocked is and I want to make sure you are taken care of. The normal turnaround time for a device unlock is 4 business days (not including weekends). If you submitted the request on 05/29, then you should be getting an email with the device unlock code/instructions by 06/03.

The error that you are getting is saying that the IMEI and request number that you entered doesn’t exist. In this case, I would verify that you entered the correct information. The fact that you received the confirmation email leads me to believe that your request being processed. If you want to re-submit the request just to be sure, that is perfectly fine as well.

Let me know if you need further assistance!

Hello Tim, I was sent an email with my IMEI info as well as my request number & I have tried to check the status of the device on the "Check Your Unlock Status" on this link:

https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/status.html?#/

My request number keeps showing "Enter a valid Request Number." I don't understand why it keeps showing this. I can't submit it.

On another note this seems a little confusing to me. My email states this:

From: AT&T Online Order <oce.751796159@emaildl.att-mail.com>

Subject: We've approved your request to unlock an AT&T device
Date: June 9, 2016 2:36:45 PM CDT
IMEI: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Request number: NUL914565447836

Hi, Karen.
We received and approved your request to unlock your device. Use the instructions in this email to unlock your device.

Instructions:

Once you have received the email confirming AT&T has approved and processed your unlock request, follow these instructions to complete the unlock for your device.

Using a Non-AT&T SIM Card:

1. Remove your SIM card and insert the new SIM card.

2. Complete the setup process.

Using an AT&T SIM Card:

1. Back up your iPhone.

2. When you have a backup, erase your iPhone.

3. Restore your iPhone from the backup you just made.

For more information about unlocking a device, check out our device unlock support page.

Thanks for choosing us,
AT&T

This is an automated email. If you reply to this address, we won't get it.

*Note* Why does the email contain "Once you have received the email confirming AT&T has approved and processed your unlock request, follow these instructions to complete the unlock for your device."
So in other words it hasn't been "processed" yet? If this is so why use the word "approved" Wouldn't it be easier to just say the phone has been successfully unlocked instead of using these words that confuse the consumer.  Thanks,
Karen
