Can i use a 3G card in a non 3G phone?

Hey, Currently i have a Nokia N75, im tired of it, so i was looking at buying a new phone outright...

Im interested in the Pantech Slate, i've heard great things about it... my only concern is the fact that it is not a 3G phone...

Am i able to use my 3G card in a phone that is NOT 3G?

all i use my phone for is texting and phone calls...

I dont want to ad another 2 years to my contract, i just want a new phone...

Thanks!

Yes, as long as it's not an ancient phone it'll work just fine. Pantech Slate will work with a 3G SIM card without a hitch.
