Blackjack 2 wont send text messages but can receive them

One day my blackjack 2 was texting with no problems. Now, I can only receive text messages. When I try to send a text message is says: "The message was not sent to one or more recipients. To verify addresses and network coverage, select Retry. To save to drafts, select cancel.
What do I do?

I tried clicking the message center service link and it says I'm not allowd to view it... Im logged on.

I dont know why that happened, but here is the info from the link.

Set the SMS Message Center Number

  1. From the "Standby Screen," select Start.

  2. Scroll to and select Settings.

  3. Scroll to and select Phone.

  4. Scroll to and select All Calls.

  5. Scroll to and select Call Options.

  6. Scroll to "Text messages service center" and verify the Message Center Number. Select Done.

If unable to send or receive SMS, troubleshoot accordingly

  1. Verify the message center number is programmed correctly.
  2. Verify SMS is working by sending another text message.
  3. Check for known issues and error messages for the device.
  4. If problems persist, please contact Customer Care.

One other thing you might try is a hard reset of the phone. you will lose any added ring tones, pics you may have added, but that cured the problem for my daughter. If you want to do a hard reset, press the start soft key, go to and open settings, go to and open security, page through until you reach reset, enter reset and follow the instructions.

I agree, but only after trying the following.
  1. Verify the message center number is programmed correctly.
  2. Verify SMS is working by sending another text message.
  3. Check for known issues and error messages for the device.
  4. If problems persist, please contact Customer Care.

I am using Samsung BlackJack with T-mobile.
After step 5, once I choose "Call Options", it says "ERROR, The settings could not be opened"
Any idea how to solve this?
Thanks.
