AT&T Z431 phone changes it's volume settings after I charge it

I have an AT&T Z431 phone. After I charge it, the volume settings change on their own from "General" to "Meeting." The Meeting setting is vibrate only so I end up missing calls from clients and then have to call them back. Frustrating! (The phone may be in the other room.) I have Power Saver mode turned off. Is there a solution to this? Thanks!

Nice to hear from you again @sledbet!

I’m happy to continue assisting you today!

If changing your setting manually did not yield the result desired, there is still a fix for this glitch. The first options is performing a soft reset, this can be done by removing the battery for 30 seconds. Re-insert the battery, and power on normally.

The second option is what is known as a master/hard reset. This will wipe everything from your device, and revert it to the original factory settings. From your home screen go to Main menu > Settings >Security Settings > Master Reset. The default password is 0000.

Thank you for your time and letting me assist you. Have a great rest of your day!

Greetings @sledbet,

I agree this can become an annoyance quite quickly! I appreciate you bringing this to our attention via the Community Forums. It would be my pleasure to share some information with you so we can get your Z431 working correctly. Let’s get started!

If the device is adjusting automatically, it is most likely due to the device charging. The best way to resolve this is to manually adjust the volume. Our Device Support Center has great step-by-step instructions on how to adjust your Volume Settings. Just be sure the make and model on the page matches your own. Then visit Tutorials > Apps, tones & Web > Adjust Ringtone Volume.

Hope this helps! Take care, and have a wonderful day!

Yes, this is what I mentioned in my question. Why do my ring volume/settings change after I charge my phone? I disconnect it from the charger and the settings have changed- and I have to re-adjust the settings manually back to "General". I shouldn't have to check/re-adjust my ring volume settings after each charge. Can it be fixed?
