AT&T Trek HD Tablet stopped working.

I recently got a new AT&T Trek HD tablet. I have been using it for about a week now and everything has been fine. Until today, it was working and I was trying to bring up a video on Youtube. While the video was loading the device just shut off and now won't turn on. I have had it on the charger for most of the day now. It still won't turn on. Also nothing happens when I plug the charger into the device. I was wondering if anyone had any insight into this matter.

Thanks

I was in the middle of working on my tablet and the screen went blank.  Tried to power it back up and nothing.  I have had my tablet for 13 months but have a 2 year contract with AT&T so, I might have to pay for another year of it on my plan without being able to use it or pay an early termination fee.  What a way to hook and sink a person.

Plugged it in but it didn't even acknowledge that it was plugged in but left it anyways.  Tried to power it back on the next day.  Nothing.  Contacted AT&T and they said I had to bring it in to a store.  Will have to wait until Monday as it is 35 miles away to the store but closer when I go to work.  I'm hoping that I can recover my data but am doubtful.

Press and hold the volume and power button at the same time. These causes the trek to do a hard reboot and it comes back up. Apparently the ATT TECHS DONT know or don't want to know about this fix but it has worked for a lot of people.

Tried that and got nothing. It now sits in my drawer, unusable but thanks

I had tried the power button with volume down, several times, and it didn't work. Then I tried the same thing but did volume up instead. It worked the first try.

My trek tablet will only charge with an old charger and has to be bent a certain way. No other charges work with it. Not even a new one. I can't replace it right now. Unfortunately it has a crack on the screen & insurance wants 80 to fix it. This is my 2nd one. I have a phone that needs fixed too. That's over 100. That's alot to fix these devices.  Now last night my tablet went dead and will not charge. I got the charge screen to come up once then stopped. I'm irritated that I am paying for broken devices. I pay for the insurance but too expensive to fix. Any help would be great!
