Unable to access my account from Chile

I cannot sign into my account from my browser or the app while I’m in Chile, yet it worked when I was in France and when I was in Canada. Why does AT&T block customers from accessing their accounts while in certain countries but not others? And why does the error message just say, “please try again later” rather than telling me my location is blocked? I can’t even access it via “forgot user ID/password” because it claims there is “no account associated with that email address”... funny how I just received confirmation of payment to that same email address on Feb. 7. How can I access my account while abroad? I understand security, but so secure I can’t even see my own account? Unacceptable.

Welcome to the Community Forums!  I understand your concerns in not being able to access your account.  I will be happy to assist you with this.


You are correct in stating the reason for not being able to access your account is security.  AT&T is using the country's server for cell phone and internet access where you are.  I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.
