Re: Remove one phone from account.

(Sigh).  @Pisdoffmad  The only way to cancel a line is

1. Port the number to another carrier (phones only)

2.  Cancel in an ATT company store

3.   Call ATT and cancel.

Why that required a private message I cannot imagine.

Re: Remove one phone from account.

I sold my at&t Microsoft Windows phone.(Lumia 640 LTE). I need to take it off of my old prepaid account, so that the customer can use the phone on another carrier. I contacted at&t customer service, but they could not find my old account. I'm not sure what to do now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, [edited for privacy – please do not post personal information]

Unfortunately, if you aren’t a customer anymore, there isn’t an account to remove the phone from.  The phone is discontinued and IMEI likely purged.  (As are most older phones , not VoLTE capable).  The only way to unlock windows phones may be pay to unlock.
