ATT says my login (user) and password is incorrect.

I am having a problem with being able to log into my ATT account.

1. It says my user name AND phone number is invalid

2. when I get the email to get my username to reset it ITS TEH EXACT SAME THING I AM PUTTING IN.

3. It keeps saying that my username and phone number is invalid and I cannot log in.

How do I log into my account if its saying whats already valid is invalid and I cant get to the verify screen because it says my stuff is invalid.

Hello @Chartisem and thanks for reaching out to the community for help!

We understand how taxing it can be when trying to access your account, we can help you with that!

If you forgot your ID and password

  1. Select Forgot ID? > User ID & Password.
  2. Enter your contact email address.
  3. If prompted, choose how you would like to receive your user ID.
  4. Enter your user ID that was sent to you.
  5. Choose temporary password or security questions and follow the prompts.
  6. If you chose temporary password, enter the password you received. The temporary password page will tell you where the password was sent.
  7. Create your new password.

This will help you retrieve both account verification. But if you still require assiatnce, feel free to contact our Customer Support team at 800.331.0500.

We hope this information helps.

My att app was saying that my password was wrong so I went in got a temporary and reset it but it continues to tell me it’s wrong even with new password. I have been trying this for over 24 hours and have reset in twice now.

I keep trying to log into my bellsouth email account using my email address and password.  It works sometimes but mostly not and I get a red lettered screen telling me my login and password are wrong.  I tell you they are not wrong but I still can't get into my email.

Just what I need.  An email notification as to why I can't get into my email.

I am having the same problem, it says my password is incorrect so i change it using my name, email address and secret questions. I type the new password in and go to log in and that one is not valid according to your server. Have reset my email password about 10 times now. This is definitely a problem on AT&T's end but i dont see them fixing it anytime looking at the dates on this thread.

PS-Yes i have reset my cache and cleared my browser. Yes i have tried it on multiple devices and multiple browsers

This keeps recurring with me as well. AT&T rejected my longtime password and forced me to change it. Finally accepted my new password (I logged out and logged back in with it just to prove it.). Then, the next morning it had logged me out again and would not log me back in using the same new password. It told me that if I continued to have this problem to consult my site administrator. If you're sitting at home at your computer with nothing between you and AT&T but telephone cables, who the hell is your site administrator? This problem has happened many, many times in the past, but usually the new password works more than one evening. One way I get around it is to open my Chrome history and just click on one of my prior sessions of email and it opens right up w/o any need for a password. But in the meantime it has cast aspersions on my password and left it in doubt. What if I need it open my email in another browser?

Edit:

In the interest of full disclosure, here's the error message I got. Maybe someone can tell me what in means in non-geekish :-)
