horrible service in northeast indiana

I have been with AT&T for 13 years.  I never had bad service until the year.  I'm in the 46738 area code about 20 minutes from Fort Wayne.  Often times I have to step outside to get reception for a phone call or even to get a text message to send.  I had thought it had been my phone so I upgraded from an iphone 8 to an Iphone x.  I get this service pretty much anywhere in the area unless I am in town fort wayne.  At work, at home, 45 minutes north at a friends house.  Any time I have asked at a store I have been told that they were sorry there were some towers being worked on in the area.  This seems unlikely being as its been a year and the range that this seems to be an issue.  Does anyone know what is going on?  Everyone in my family has similar issues minus the people that have switched to sprint who have great service everywhere in the area.  Even cheap top up phones in the area seem to get better service.

Hello @sloney87

We can definitely help with dropped calls and wireless network issues.

Have you been providing network feedback by reporting the issues using the AT&T Mark the Spot app? You can download the app for free from the app store, report issues & receive updates on network improvements where you filed reports. You can also check out tips to optimize device performance, and provide your suggestions for future enhancements.

If you're experiencing connectivity issues your device settings may be responsible. Visit our Troubleshoot & Resolve tool to help troubleshoot device settings issues.

Have you been using Wi-Fi Calling? Wi-Fi Calling can be used with almost any Wi-Fi Internet connection. You can call, text, and retrieve Visual Voicemail messages just like you do on the cellular network.

We encourage you to check out the tools and links for a solution. Please let is know if there is anything else we can assist you with.
