coverage in area getting worse and worse

the coverage in my area has continued to get worse instead of better... how is it that this area has went from having full bars of lte to 1-2 bars of lte. I know it is nothing with the phone cause I have 4 different phones with the same issue and other people with att that have the same issue. I continue to get the run around when I contact anyone about the issue and also they try to sell me a micro cell for a service i already pay for. I would like to stay with AT&T but am to the point I may have to switch carriers.

We are having the same problem in DeLeon Texas and all we ever get is the run around when we contact AT&T. Every time they don’t have an actual answer for why the tower is down. It goes out on average once a week. You can park on the side of the road 300 ft from the tower and only have 3 bars. I can see the tower from my house not even 3 miles and only have 2 bars. What is the deal we are all paying a pretty penny for this service that we are getting shorted on. Fix it AT&T do your job!

We live in Cape Royale on Lake Livingston Texas. We have gone from one to two bars to zero bars .  Worst service I have experienced. We walk our dogs at night and two hundred feet away our phone starts downloading all the messages for the day. I have an Android and ATT won't let me download an app to use messaging on WiFi.  We bought property on the other side of the lake and had 5 bars 4G LTE. We now have one bar there. What is going on with AT&T service?

I'm having the same problem in Jarrell, Texas.  The service is getting worse and AT&T doesn't seem to know how to fix it.  One or two bars max.  I've spent too much time using the home wifi with another company trying to get AT&T to understand that if I can't call them on the phone.

Same problem here in Evansville Indiana! I have called, I have posted on here, I have sent emails and the only solution I am offered is buy more high speed data. Well since I’ve used AT&T for 20 years with multiple phones and never had issues, and know exactly what my phone can and can’t do where data is concerned, I can safely say that there is no reason I should have to purchase anything additional, because all my current problems didn’t USED  to exist!

I have heard that 5G coverage does not extend as far as 4G coverage has in
the past. Therefore, they have cut back the 4G coverage in anticipation of
the 5G roll out. From what I have read the 5G test was a bomb. Therefore,
again, the existing customers of ATT, like us, are having to suffer with
poor service. Not very good customer service.

I agree 100%  We go camping at Lake Livingston at least once a month.  I had a "great deal" to move from Verizon to ATT and I sooooo regret it!  This weekend we had 1 bar or less.  Forget trying to download anything or use streaming tv on Firestick!  What the (Edited per community guidelines) is the deal with ATT??  I'm going to have to go back to Verizon with my tail between my legs.

Hello, @DABoyd. This is not the experience we want you to have, and we certainly understand that it is important for you to be able to connect to our network.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps we recommend:

  • Turn your device off for at least 15 seconds, then power the device back on. This will reset your network settings and restore network connectivity.
  • Turn Airplane Mode on for a few seconds, then off again. This will force a connection to the nearest tower.
  • Close any apps that may be running in the background.
  • Use our real-time diagnostic tool for additional, personalized troubleshooting.

If you continue to have this experience after trying these steps, please reach back out to us. We will invite you into a Direct Message, get the specific zip code for your location, and check the condition of the towers in that area.
