Wireless signal getting worse and worse!

The wireless signal at my house has been poor since I moved here, but it's getting worse and worse and worse. Now, it's so bad, that even text messages fail at least 1/2 the time. I couldn't call the police once when I needed to. Calls drop. Incoming calls never ring to the phone and I won't get a notice of a voicemail for minutes to hours. Why would the signal be getting worse? How do I get the service I'm paying for? I went to the AT&T store and all they did was try to SELL me a repeater to amplify signal, rather than fixing the issue! I'm no longer on a term contract and my husband will soon be off his. If this doesn't improve, we'll be changing providers.

We have a great app you could benefit from; called Mark the Spot. Mark the Spot is an application that provides our customers a mean to provide feedback on their network-user experience to us. We utilize this information to better target network optimization and enhancements. Problems are then clustered together to highlight areas for investigation.

 

Also, we do have WiFi calling available, which I’d be happy to help you set up on your phone if you have internet in your home. Please view our Device Support Page and enter the make and model of your device for the steps.

We use basic phones because we don't have a need for smart phones, so apps and Internet phones won't help. Additionally, we're in what is supposed to be a major service area for voice - yet voice and text both get worse and worse. And - seriously - if I wanted a phone to run on my Internet, I'd get a VOIP home phone and I wouldn't need AT&T mobile service.

 

I've worked with someone on the phone. I've used your chat help. I've been into your AT&T store.

 

No one has any solutions beyond trying to SELL me something (repeater, smart phone, upgraded service) rather than investigating and fixing why we don't get the service we're paying for.

 

Why would I ever want to upgrade with you if I can't even get basic service to work???

 

My wife's contract is up. Mine is up on August. At this point, I guess we'll just be changing providers since we can't get any help.
