Would purchasing an AT&T Microcell Wireless Cell Signal Booster Tower Antenna help with receiving better signal on a prepaid phone?

No. ATT has discontinued support for microcells. I don’t think they will activate them anymore but even if they are, you need a postpaid account to activate a microcell.

If you have home Wifi, and a Wifi calling capable phone, moving to postpaid would allow you to use your phone with Wifi calling.   Wifi calling is replacing the microcell.  

Not every phone is capable of Wifi calling, please post you make and model.  Android phones must be ATT branded phones.
