Poor service in the area.

It seems each year we get more and more towers in the area and the service is getting weaker and weaker. There are several areas north of Duluth mn that had reception and no longer do. Also the areas that surround them used to have several bars and are down to 1-2 bars. You would think with all the extra towers you would have great service everywhere except the remote areas. But I know several areas that go from full service to no service in a very short distance. And there are no geographical changes or obstructions. For the price we pay to have this service it shouldn't get worse year after year.

Hello @Djkustomz1!

Thank you for reaching out the Community Forums! I understand your concern regarding the wireless service you receive in your area. I’d be happy to help!

This is definitely a situation which must be addressed; especially because you mentioned the service has decreased considerably compared to a year ago.

I would like this opportunity to investigate what is occurring, so we can provide the best resolution. I invite you to send us a private message to @ATTCares with your full name, phone number, and physical address.

In the meantime, please check out the AT&T Mark the Spot app, which is an effective tool used to report network issues. This helps us highlight areas for investigation.

I look forward to working with you and getting this concern taken care of. Talk to you soon!

Oh ATTCARES, that is so cute that you recommend using Mark the Spot.  I've been "marking the spot" for areas that ATT shows full LTE coverage for 2 years and finally complained to the FCC.  I was contacted by the Office of the President where one of the gentlemen explained to me that network traffic here (10 miles southwest of Nashville) is so heavy that the system just can't provide the service advertised.  Of course, most ATT users know that coverage isn't guaranteed right?

Please spare the users from insulting them with references to Mark the Spot.  It has very little effect on their expected resolutions.  ATT has had 2 years to respond to my problems and only when I complained to the FCC did I finally get a response.   And the response sucks by the way.  Apparently the fact that people work in the area that I work in is just too taxing on the fragile ATT Wireless signal bandwidth.   The gentleman was so nice to explain that cell bandwidth is much like water running through a pipe.  The more water that is required, the pipe isn't able to expand to accommodate the increased water flow.  OOOOOOhhhh..that's very interesting!!

Spare us the baloney ATT.  You have inferior technology and the company isn't going to spend the resources required to fix the problem.

I have an idea..how about I post the link to complain to the FCC to every post on here where people are experiencing similar problems.  How's that for contributing to the cause?
