One bar or no coverage

I have zero to one-bar coverage in my house in Jacksonville, FL. I have to go outside to send a text. How do I resolve this?

Hello @robertsmp,

I understand how concerning it is, having only one bar while at home.  I am more than happy to help!

Has this issue always been there or has it started recently? If recently, I would recommend removing, cleaning the gold contacts, and then re-inserting the SIM card.  Our Device Support page has a fantastic step-by-step guide on how to do this! Once you select your device’s make and model, please go to Tutorials > About Your Device > Insert SIM/Phone Assembly.

If it has always been going on, one thing you can check is to see if the phone supports Wi-Fi calling.  You can check if your phone has it by going to Tutorials > Calling > Wi-Fi Calling in the Device Support page.

I also advise visiting our Troubleshoot and Resolve tool. It is a wonderful addition to your troubleshooting arsenal! It even provides steps on what to do next when the problem has been fully diagnosed. Once you are there, please select your device’s make and model, and then go to Service/Network issues > Phone Calls.

I hope these steps help! Have a marvelous day!
