Note9 AKG Headphones Offer - How to Redeem?

I preordered Note 9 no problem received it yesterday....had to argue with them to get the promotion of free AKG headphones.

Just spent 30 mins on phone asking where they were.( promotional headphone) Mind you while having to answering the same question in  many different ways. If the person on the other end would listen to what you are asking....there would be no need to ask and answer ask and answer over and over again....

Only to have them tell me it will take 6-8 weeks for them to be mailed. I said don't you think that was important enough to tell me when I ordered?

All you get is I am so sorry for the inconvenience...AT&T customer service is horrible.  Then want to tell you thanks for using AT&T have a great day...to which I interrupted and so oh no don't even tell me that after doing nothing for me. Then hung up.

Hello @Redda59

I'm not sure if it was explained in the offer or by the representative, but the offer has to be claimed with Samsung first, the headphones are not shipped out automatically. Plus 4-6 weeks line is based on the estimate, from what I see most users are getting them much quicker, but it can possibly take that long depending on demand. Here are the instructions from Samsung, and I have confirmed that this is the same process that AT&T customers need to follow:

  1. Download and install the Shop Samsung app on your Samsung Galaxy Note9 device from the Google Play store and install the app.
  2. Open the Shop Samsung app, tap the “Menu Icon” on top left > select “My Inbox” > Turn Up Your Play offer.
  3. Tap SEE IF I’M ELIGIBLE to get started.
  4. Tap ALLOW when prompted to allow Shop Samsung to make and manage phone calls.
  5. Tap ALLOW when prompted to allow Shop Samsung to access your contacts.
  6. Tap REGISTER NOW for the Samsung Turn Up Your Play Offer.
  7. Tap OK when prompted to sign in to your Samsung Account to redeem the offer.
  8. Fill out the required information, and if prompted, upload receipt/proof of pre-order, which can include, but is not limited to, a pre-order confirmation email, receipt or packing slip by 11:59:59 PM ET on September 13, 2018.

I hope it helps!

Thanks,

Dmitriy

Do you file the paperwork on Samsungpromotions.com?  Or the Samsung plus app?

Hello @Redda59.

Congratulations, you are one of the very first to own the amazing Samsung Galaxy Note 9!

We regret we failed to explain that customers who pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Note9 between August 10 - 23, 2018 will receive the AKG Noise Cancellation Headphone valued $299 at no cost approximately 6 - 8 weeks by mail.

We hope you are enjoying your new device. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help out with.

Of course it was not explained as per usual AT&T service. This is the first time I have heard this...which you can easily verify by your records. Thank you.

@Redda59

Samsung freebies with preorder are always direct ship, and redeemed dir3ct with Samsung.  Remember the VR or watch option with S7 preorder in 2016?

There was also a free TV offer in April 2016 with phone and new  Direct TV service.

Or VR with controller with the S8 preorder?

All redemptions were Samsung direct.

It's not atts job to get you a samsungpromotions.com offer.   It's your job...  The offer is from Samsung and was explained on all prpmotional material.
