Is mobile phone network frequency band different in Alaska to USA?

In 2008 my colleagues went from UK to Alaska via USA and the phone frequency band was different from USA to Alaska apparently.  Is this still the case?  What is the network coverage?

Thanks

Don't understand your question. Alaska is part of the US. Are you asking about coverage between Alaska and the continental US? That is Canada. Anyway, ATT's coverage maps are here: https://www.att.com/maps/wireless-coverage.html

Re: Is mobile phone network frequency band different in Alaska to USA?

@FAAM146  You might be asking about LTE tower coverage.  For example the tower that covers my home is band 17.  Phones without this band wouldn't have LTE in my area.  But it's not the only tower in the state.  Other towers service different bands.  If the phones they brought with them didn't have the bands for LTE, they would have HSPA or HSPA+ service only (3G to 4G)

To make sure you have the best coverage, phones must have HSPA/WCDMA 850 AND 1900 and as many LTE bands as possible if they expect to get LTE
