Hey @Charles68,

I definitely apologize for the calls failing on your phone especially while traveling internationally! I can totally understand the importance of needing to remain in contact with your family and friends. I can imagine the frustration this can cause!

Depending on what type of phone you have, you will need to ensure your Data Roaming is enabled. Roaming needs to be enabled to connect to the international towers while abroad. If you are using an iPhone, this can be checked in Settings – Cellular. If you are on an Android, you can check it under Settings – Mobile Networks.

If you are still unable to place an International Call while abroad, I would recommend ensuring you are using the correct dialing pattern. This correct pattern is the plus sign (+) followed by the country code, then the phone number. If you have ensured you are dialing the international number correctly, you can reach our Advanced International Support at +1.314.925.6925. This call is free when dialed from your AT&T phone while abroad!

I hope this information helps! Safe travels.

Are you trying to dial a US number from overseas?   You should dial is the same as if at home.  (In the US)
