Horrible service

What in the heck is wrong with the cell service in Houston? The freaking fourth largest city in the United States. We shouldn’t have these issues with service in such a huge metropolitan city like Houston. It’s ridiculous. Service used to be fine, but over the past half a year, the service has been terrible. I used to be at home and have all my service bars. Now, I barely have one most of the time. AT&T needs to fix this issue or they are about to lose a 16 year customer and I’m sure plenty of others will choose another reliable company, like Verizon if these issues persist. I pay too much for poor service.

We will need a few more details and then we'll be happy to look further into this for you. Can you pinpoint the month when you started to notice this? Is your data usage affected or just calls? Do you experience spotty service all over Harris County or just in your immediate neighbourhood?

Thank you for reaching out about my concern. I can't particularly pinpoint
the exact month, but I for sure started noticing it back in early November.
My data usage is affected when I'm not on wifi. I can't connect to anything
sometimes because my service bars are usually only one bar. I've never had
this issue with AT&T service before until recently and it has continued
ever since. My service throughout Houston is spotty. Some places I would
have great service, but others, not so much. This is a new occurrence as
well because my service used to be great all over Houston. It's not my
phone either. I recently just got a new phone and I'm still having these
issues, along with others I've spoken to about it.

Have you been reporting network issues in Houston with the AT&T Mark the Spot app? We suggest downloading the AT&T Mark the Spot app to report dropped calls, wireless network issues, and receive network improvement notifications.

Horrible Coverage with AT&T is a fact of life. I live in the Phoenix Metro area and can’t get usable data service at any Community mall. It’s sad, it was fine 6 months ago and then just went to extremely bad service. I have called repeatedly, used Mark the Spot, had multiple cases opened. I finally stopped calling because I was told by more than one tech support supervisor that “life is hard and it’s just too bad... deal with it!”  They don’t care so I am taking my 10 lines somewhere else. I am shopping now trying to test the other competitors so I get the best one. Funny thing is they all provide better service now and are cheaper... except for Verizon. I would recommend moving on like I am doing. Better service, cheaper, it’s awesome. I’ve been with AT&T for years but they just care about their customers or service.... just collecting their bill!
