Going international

Going international

I’m going out of the country for a week and would like to use a SIM card from that country while I’m there. My iPhone isn’t paid off yet and it seems like that’s the only way I can get my phone unlocked in order to use it. Is this correct?

Re: Going international

Hello @Traveltime19

We're more than happy to provide a helping hand!

If your device has a remaining balance and is locked to the AT&T network, it is recommended to meet all eligibility requirements to unlock your cellphone.

You can review our previous forum post Things to Know: Unlocking Your Device that will provide more details about continuing the unlock process.

Also, feel free to check out our AT&T International Day Pass   for more information on finding the available plan and coverage in the country you will be visiting.

We hope this is helpful, and thanks for reaching out to the community!
