Can't activate go phone miutes with my old phone says doesnt reconize me imei

Thank you for joining the Community Forums!  I am sorry you are having issues with your Prepaid service.  I have some options to help you out.

If after activating the new SIM card you purchased, you received the error message it did not recognize your IMEI; it may be one of two reasons:

• The SIM card may be defective and you will need to replace it.  You can get a replacement online or going to your local retail store, or;
• The phone is locked to another carrier and you will need to contact the previous carrier of the phone.
