I just saw Roma - which was beautiful, moving and will almost certainly be up for a bunch of awards. How do we feel about tv or streaming films getting Oscar or other movie-awards? Should there be a separate category for films you watch on TV or are movies still movies, regardless of where/how you watch them?
I don't see why there should be a separate category. These days, with ticket sales declining, a lot of people see movies at home first instead of going to the theaters. Movies are also coming out in theaters and streaming at the same time. There's no longer a difference in quality between movies released on streaming instead of theaters first, so they should be treated equally.
