I just watched the new Jungle Book and it was really good. I am excited to see the Lion King as well. However, I am yet to see Beauty and the Beast

I have to admit, I was firmly in the Nay camp.
I was the grumpy old man yelling, "Why can't they think of any new ideas!" (when I wasn't yelling at kids to, "Get off my lawn!") then I saw The Lion King trailer and was BLOWN AWAY.
So I am ... cautiously Yay, now.
I also think I'll check out Jungle Book, too, now.

It does not follow the same pattern as the original movie, but if you can get past that, it is still a really good movie. It made me really sad at some points, because it pulls at the heart string

I haven't see the Jungle Book remake - I'll add that to my list!
The wife and I saw Beauty and the Beast when it was in theaters and we enjoyed it! It's definitely worth seeing.
@Djinni, you mentioned a live action Aladdin. Here's how I feel about that...

Quite a list, lol. Personally, I saw the live action 101 Dalmatians before the animated one, and could not get into the animated one. I haven't even any of the other ones. There is the Inspector Gadget (1999) , Hook (1991) and I personally like, Robin Hood: Men in Tights. I want to see: Snow White, Mulan, The Little Mermaid, UP, Finding Nemo, Popeye would be awesome and Sleeping Beauty (saw it as a play). There is a Prince a Persia movie.
Bambi is not on my list any way shape or form. The way the movie shows hunters is not how it is in real life. Ethical hunters will never shoot a doe who has a fawn. Poachers will, and those are criminals who deserve to go to prison.

I'm a sucker for Disney movies LOL
The Lion King trailer was just AMAZING and I didn't realize how well Disney could render the characters into an amazing live-action remake. I have high hopes about the movie because I grew up watching The Lion King on VHS tapes, so they better not let me down on this one. Although I would still miss the original voices (I get attached to the voices as much as I do with the aesthetics), I'm still looking forward to it.
Question though: When are they releasing the Aladdin and Mulan remakes? I have just as high expectations for those remakes as I also grew up with them. Robin Williams has set the bar really high as the Genie, and to be very honest, I still can't see anybody else play the Genie. I'd probably get my heart broken just by thinking about it... not to mention Mulan being a close call with the execs initially saying that there wouldn't be a lot of singing in the remake (BUT THE SONGS WERE AN IMPORTANT PART OF MULAN!!! Reflection and I'll Make a Man Out of You, anyone?)

I don't understand the point of Mulan without the songs or Aladdin without Robin Williams, tbh.
