Just as @lizdance40 noted, if you are on a plan, you would most likely lose the amount switched by changing. However, if you are on the pay as you go or pay per day plans, you can change without a problem. If you just joined, Customer Service may work with you to get the right plan. I would suggest you give them a call at 611 on your phone to see how to get the plan you want.
