Using an iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S with a GoPhone card

I was thinking of returning the Avail 2 to Target because the reception is so poor and getting a used iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S from Craigs List. I confirmed with AT&T that I can just switch out the SIM card and it should work.

Any other cautions I should know before doing this?

Thanks,

Doug

The iPhone needed to be fully unlocked.
If it still locked, only the network it locked to will work.
You will got headache if you try and unlocked it later.
APN setting need to put in.

The battery still hold the juice, fully charged,if it lost 10% in 20 minutes usage or lost 8 to 10% of charge overnight without switch on....it not in good shape.

True.

Also, sometime you might have issue with using the phone after few month. The person can report it lost and stolen, and your phone will be blacklisted, then you won't be able to use it on the network any more.
