GoPhone Package Plan Change Auto Bill

I changed my gophone from $60 to $45 plan in Mar'17. I received a payment reminder on 28Apr that $55 will occur on 30Apr, and on 30Apr ATT deducted $60.58 (with auto pay).

Thought that it was just inconsistency between the text from ATT and the actual account balance. But when I check my CC, the amount charged was $60.58. So I called customer service, and they confirmed that I am enrolled in $45 plan, and there is a mistake in the billing, this error will be corrected and will not appear in the next billing cycle, and the $15 dollars will be credited toward the account balance.

Again on 28May, I got the text from ATT again on the payment reminder, saying that $55 will occur in 2 days. So I checked the balance on the account. Instead of the $15 I have in my favor (from previous over payment), I have $15 unpaid balance. And on 30May, the total is $75 something. They still charge me for the $60 plan.

Has this happened to any one. Do I have to check my bill every month so that I do not get over charged?

Hello @emidnight,

Welcome to the Community Forums!  Changing GoPhone plans is usually a seamless process, I’m sorry to hear your experience has been different.  I would be happy to help you with this!

When changing GoPhone plans we recommend changing on the day before your plan is set to expire to limit any inconveniences.  We have a very helpful article about it here.  I would like to look more into your account and will be sending you a private message to your Forum’s Inbox.  Please be on the lookout for it!

I look forward to working with you and hope you have a marvelous rest of your day!
