How do I remove the 3G icon ? How do I disable it? What is it for?

3G is the type of network you are connected too. If you don't want to be connect to mobile network I would disable the radio on your device, but that would kind of defeat the purpose of the device. Most devices let you disable the mobile radio while still being able to connec to others like Wi-Fi or GPS.
