What is the Status of My Phone Order from AT&T - A Solution from the Community

Learn about the status of your device shipment and when it is coming

GitHub - ocean90/ocean90

You are probably not in a room looking around for your phone but I am sure you are in spirit. The fastest way to check on your device is to sign into the order status page and check. If your phone shows in transit, that is great news. You'll need to check the shipper's website for delivery information.

From the order status page you can:

  • Find out when your order ships.
  • Request a shipping kit or reprint your shipping label.
  • Get the status and track your returned device.
  • See your estimated trade-in value.
  • Locate your trade-in number.
  • Learn about the next steps.

Your order will typically show "in progress" until it has been shipped out. The estimated shipping dates are based on the time that you ordered the device, and where you are on the list of orders. Please note that this is just an estimated date, so hopefully, it will ship out sooner!

Email & Text Notification Regarding Delivery

  • Email notification - You will receive an email when your device is shipped. It will include tracking information.

  • Text Message - You will receive a message stating that your device is on the way!

Via Text

  • Dial *ORDR# (*6737#) and press Send. Follow the options via text messaging.

The meaning of "in progress", "pending", or "order open"

  • Order Open - You'll need to sign in and accept Terms & Conditions. Log into your account and complete the transaction. You can also cancel this order.
  • In Progress - An item ordered may not be in stock. You can cancel this order.
  • Pending - order is under review. An update provided within 48 hours. You may be able to cancel this order.
  • Partially Shipped - Only some of the items in the order shipped. The remaining items ship separately as they become available. You can cancel items not shipped.

  • Canceled - An order may have been canceled because payment was not finalized, the order was incorrect, credit-related issue or your identity needs to be verified.

  • Shipped - Your order is on the way! Keep an eye out for an email!

Order Status is available 24 hours after placing the order.

Note: Shipments are dependent on the stock of the device. We do our best to make sure we have enough to ship out. Sometimes the popularity and demand can outweigh the supply. Also, some colors and sizes may not be available while others are. This means some colors and sizes may arrive faster. You can check att.com to see if your particular device is in stock or not. The device will be shipped out as soon as possible! We appreciate your patience!

Need to cancel your order?

If your phone is out of stock, not to worry. You can cancel the order, create a new one, and pick it up in a store if it is available there!

  1. Go to Check order status page

  2. Enter the order number and ZIP Code used to place the order.

  3. Select the specific order you wish to cancel.

  4. On the order status page, if available, select the link to cancel order or cancel item. If you don’t have the ability to cancel an item online, contact us.

  5. Follow the prompts to confirm your order cancellation.

Check our online page for more information on canceling an order.

Remember, you can always check your status online, if you need further assistance.

Today, I went online at ATT. COM to pre-order iPhone 8 plus. I chose the next every year option, added an insurance plan, and began to check out. When I got to the last step, which is "submit order", I got an error message saying something to the effect of "there is a problem with this card" (there isn't, the card is valid, and there's plenty of money in the bank to cover the charge. In fact,  I just paid my monthly AT&T bill with the same card.)

Since the order appeared to not go through, I tried one more time, and got the same result. I chatted online with a representative, and he said there was a technical issue with processing pre-orders, and to try again later. A few hours later, I logged into my bank account and noticed that there were two charges in the amount of $66.50 each, which is the exact total of the "due today" amount from the order that I had attempted to place (and thought didn't go through) earlier. I never received any confirmation email, order number, and no order shows in my account when I attempt to check the order status. I called AT&T, and was on the phone for over an hour being transferred and given the run around by representatives claiming that there is no record of an order, and they didn't charge me anything, but my bank activity clearly shows two charges for $66.50 from "AT&T Bethlehem PA". Basically, I was charged twice, no record of an order, and AT&T was no help, telling me to call my bank. How did they manage to charge me twice but mysteriously have no record of it? I talked to several reps, and two were very rude, one even saying condescendingly "Well, what do you want me to do?!" after I had explained the situation. I'm at my wits end, and would just like some help and insight...and my money back. They can keep their phone.

I just signed in to check the status of my pre-ordered Iphone 8 plus and it says that it's backed ordered. Is it truly backordered or does it only that because we haven't hit the actual release date yet? I was expecting it to say something like "preparing to ship".

I ordered my iPhone x on the 27th and the estimated dates are November 2nd - 10th. It's now the 9th and the order is still in progress.. canceling isn't an option for me.

I see they didn't answer you... They told me I would get a phone in 2 days.... will it been 2 days... no phone and still in progress... it not even a new iPhone... it is iPhone 6s plus... I don't have a phone to call and check... I have not seen chat box online for 2 days...I guess I have to go to neighbors to call them..  They are always wanting us not to call and use online.... but no chat available... Did you ever get your phone?
