@Boatlenny - The printer should have a wizard to select your wi-fi & allow you to enter the password to connect.
or
It may have a WPS button that you press & also press the WPS button on the u-verse RG & for a minute or so the two can communicate & set up the printer onto the wi-fi.
The default for WPS in the RG is disabled. Go to http://192.168.1.254/xslt?PAGE=C_2_1 with your computer browser & enable it. YOu can also press the WPS button on that page - you will need the gui password.
