How do I turn off these ridiculous Amber Alerts?

If I have my TV on at a volume loud enough for me to hear, do you really need to break in with an Amber alert TEN FRICKING TIMES LOUDER!!!!!!!! And the alert is for "all of Kansas", a state that takes 8 hours to drive across. If it was LOCAL that would be one thing.

And I'm watching TV, which means unless the guy drives his car into my living room, I won't be any help.

And ALL these Amber alerts are just custody disputes. It's not like there's millions of deviants out snatching strange children. It's a problem between two fools who got married and had kids and THEN figured out they don't like each other. NOT MY PROBLEM!

It's RIDICULOUS to have them blare so much louder than the current volume. As if the siren sound alone at normal volume wouldn't be enough to get someones attention.

I turned this crap off on my phone for the same reasons, and I don't want it on my TV either.

Hi @litninrod,

We apologize for the inconvenience as there is no option to turn off alerts.

I have the same issue we have small children and elderly here at the house, so not we must just turn off TV when any one of 6 people are sleeping or resting.  So basically it makes owning a TV and paying for service worthless.

Our apologies about the Alert broadcasts during the night @TRITAM!

Those alerts on the U-verse TV systems are broadcast by the government and the local police department, therefore, we do not have the option to turn them off. They are not controlled by AT&T at all.

Please let us know if this answers your concern!
