AT&T finally fights back vs Comcast/TimeWarner

In all of the ads for U-verse I've seen on local TV, not once do they slime Comcast in the way Comcast does to them in their ads.  Pretty classy of AT&T, to let customers decide on their own.

Comcast is hardly saintly when it comes to going against their competitors in their ads, in that they've tried the same tactics against DirecTV, but DTV fought back.  That was back when Comcast was bragging they had the most HD, except DTV correctly pointed out that they were muddying the waters by counting individual On Demand programs.  That campaign was retired shortly thereafter.

So AT&T has begun a mail campaign warning of the impending Comcast/Time Warner merger, letting customers know that it's up to them to decide, and that U-verse is available to escape what they may encounter once the two perennially lowest-rated cable companies in customer satisfaction join.

The Variety writer does an "oopsie" when he doesn't consider lead-time of these campaigns.  These flyers were probably printed at least 1 month ago, BEFORE the whole DirecTV idea came to fruition.

Glad to see AT&T becoming a little more aggressive in their marketing of U-verse.  But, you can't say their "gentlemanly" approach hasn't been working -- those quarterly increases prove that.
