LOST ACCESS TO MAIL
WINDOWS 10 DID UPDATE AND NOW MY MAIL FILE GONE. DOESN'T HAVE "MAIL" NEXT TO SIGN ON AND WHEN I CLICK ON MAIL ENVELOPE STATES "COULD NOT PERFORM THIS OPERATION BECAUSE THE DEFAULT MAIL CLIENT IS NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED.

@susanH That would be the mail client installed on your PC, wouldnt have anything to do with the service AT&T provides. You will be able to access your email messages through the webmail client located at www.att.net. If you wish to use the Mail client included within Windows 10 you would need to speak with Microsoft support to repair your computer.

Sounds like you will have to install your email client again or if you are using an email client that came with Windows, perhaps install Windows again. You may want to communicate your issue a more appropriate support forum or group.

I have yahoo email and sent an email and it rejected saying that I don't have that email address.
