Is My DSL Worth What I'm Paying?

I did a speed test with the ATT tester and here are the results:

I am paying $35 a month for these speeds. I don't think there is a good value for 51 kbps down and 9 kbps up. Anyone experiencing the same really slow speeds? Thanks in advance.

That is not how dsl is supposed to work, and service is probably required.

There is an ATT app that does a decent job of testing your connection and can give you a clue what is needed to restore it to normal.

https://ufix.att.com/portal/index.html?tGseq=validate__nav_home__ref_&AUTHN_ACTION=PASSWD_LOGIN#home

It might help to try testing the modem to see if it is the cause and needs replacing. Noise filters needing replacing, could be another issue.

Then again, you may need a line tech to physically test and service the line to get back your blazing maximum speed of 6 mbps down, and one half of a meg (512 k) up. (sarcasm)

Good luck.
