ATT Outgoing email server offline?

Hello!

I have been trying to send an email tonight, and it's just sitting in the "outgoing" box. When I look at my account settings, it has Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): Att (offline). Does anyone know how to fix this? I am using Apple's mail program on my desktop computer, if that matters. It's worked fine until today. Or is this an ATT issue, and I just need to wait?

Was looking for solutions for same problem. Mine started sometime after 7-21-16, the last time I sent something and it went. By Friday nothing was sending.
