WiFi calling on Google Pixel xl2

I had a Galaxy S6 Active and had WiFi calling without any problems. I can not even find WiFi calling on the Google pixel. According to the internet it does have Wi-Fi calling but is not in the location it says it's supposed to be. If anyone can help me get it set up, that would be great. It's on AT&T and so was my S6 Active. It tells me on lint that my provider has to offer it in order for it to work and they do and it worked before I switched.

The answer is: “nope,  not possible.”

ATT Wifi calling is available if you have an iPhone 6 or newer, or an ATT branded Samsung or LG running marshmallow or newer OS.

No other brand.   No non ATT androids.

Why does AT&T continue to lie about wifi calling for pixel phones... oh sure, it will work!!!  Of course it won't.  Hold back new features is the paradigm for them, always has been, always will be.

ATT officially, does not “lie”.   It lists Wifi calling devices and excludes all non ATT android phones.

The above reply should have been redacted as the CSR obviously had no idea what they were talking about.

Really? I called them, they said they enabled it on my pixel 2. I heard
from non att people the straight truth. A lie of omission is still a lie.

Poor training doesn’t mean ATT is provided wrong information.  https://www.att.com/shop/wireless/features/wifi-calling.html

ATT enabled HD voice on the Pixel phones, which is required for Wifi calling.  And it’s one of the only non ATT phones with HD voice.  But no where in Att information is any non ATT android listed as Wifi calling capable.

I was able to activate WiFi Calling on my Pixel 3 through device settings. I tried once before and was not able to activate, so this appears to be a recent change.

There is no wifi calling future in my Google pixel XL. As att is top 5th or 10th largest next work in US, Its behind Metro PCS inturms of features like wifi calling.

I fed up with ATT. I am Custer since 2010.

Google is supposed to be rolling out updates for older Pixel phones that will include several handy features.  If it’s includes Wifi calling, I would not be surprised.  It will include the call filtering ability.
